It abounds in a great variety of geographic features and tourist facilities which will attract even the most particular of visitors. Apart from this multitude of features and facilities, Leskovac is also an important transit centre, providing links to Southern Europe (Greece), North-Western Europe via Belgrade, the Adriatic Sea via Priština, and the Black Sea and the Eurasian corridor via Sophia. The territory of the municipality of Leskovac is situated at an altitude between 210 and 240 meters above sea level.

Company Jeanci Serbia is expanding its production in Leskovac. By the end of this year, 760 workers in textile industry will have got the job in three plants. Monthly production, which is now about 50,000 units of products, will be doubled. In conversation with the owners of Jeanci, Mayor Cvetanovic pointed out that our city needed new investment and new jobs, and that any company willing to invest and develop the production is welcome. At present, there are 2500 textile industry workers on the list of the National Employment Service, out of which 80 percent are women. The qualification structure is not very good, because the women are mostly with the third level qualifications of expertise. Investors from Istanbul stressed that it was important for them to obtain building permit as soon as possible in order to complete the plant for stoning denim in Srbolek, which should be completed until New Year. The work of this plant will attract other Turkish textile manufacturers to open plants in Leskovac, because they would be able to fully prepare denim for processing and sewing.
