It abounds in a great variety of geographic features and tourist facilities which will attract even the most particular of visitors. Apart from this multitude of features and facilities, Leskovac is also an important transit centre, providing links to Southern Europe (Greece), North-Western Europe via Belgrade, the Adriatic Sea via Priština, and the Black Sea and the Eurasian corridor via Sophia. The territory of the municipality of Leskovac is situated at an altitude between 210 and 240 meters above sea level.

Cvetanovic was one of the speakers at the jubilee celebration of the Serbian Progressive Party organized in Nis on 20 October. On this occasion, Cvetanovic stressed that energy, determination, integrity and a strong desire for change and acceptance of European values have made the Serbian Progressive Party become a generator of change in Serbia, the only hope that people will feel better and have brighter future. He added that the representatives of the party were constantly talking to the people and listened to their needs, concerns and desires, and their opinions whether they were satisfied with what had been done and what would be done. In this way, Cvetanovic said, the best was to prepare for the upcoming elections for the local community councils, scheduled for 24 Novembar in Leskovac. He added that the Serbian Progressive Party list would bear the name of the President of the Serbian Progressive Party, Mr Aleksandar Vucic. “This fact obliges us even more, and I promise you from this place and claim that we will win”, Cvetanovic said. At the celebration of the fifth anniversary and the work of the Serbian Progressive Party, the Mayors of Nis and Krusevac were speaking, as well as the Party President, Aleksandar Vucic. “We will never set up the principle of robbing our own people as the supreme principle of our political activity, but we will oppose it in the fiercest possible way", said the president of the Serbian Progressive Party Aleksandar Vucic at the convention in Nis held for the 5th anniversary of the Party. He repeated that "we have to save our economy" and thanked the Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic for supporting the government's economic measures, as well as party activists, with the following message: "You are sure to manage without me, but I cannot do without you”.
